- Plant trees and shrubs in the fall
- Spruce up the landscape by planting Fall Pansies, Flowering Cabbage and Kale, Garden Mums, Fall-
Blooming perennials. - Choose your Spring Flowering Bulbs like tulips, daffodils, crocus, hyacinths, snowdrops, and more.
- Keep grass seed damp: water every day if necessary. Fall is the best time to aerate and to seed or
reseed your lawn. Fall's cooler air temperatures, warm soil temperatures and more even rainfall
promote active root growth before the onset of winter. - Apply Natural Guard Soil Activator to your lawn in September to decay grass clippings, reduce thatch,
and return natural nutrients to the lawn.
- Treat houseplants with Fertilome Systemic Insecticide Granules and Concern Insect Killing Soap now
to get rid of any insects before bringing them into the house prior to the first frost. - Apply Fertilome Lawn Food Plus Iron to green up your lawn.
- Clean out garden ponds and pools. Cover with Pond Netting before the leaves start falling.
- Continue watering trees, shrubs, perennials and annuals as weather necessitates. Remember that
deep but infrequent waterings encourage deep root development and are more beneficial than
