Colorado Blue Spruce
Evergreens
Blue Chip Juniper Dwarf Norway Spruce

A dwarf, dense selection that forms a broad globe of 3 to 4’ in height and width. Attractive light green foliage, very hardy. Prefers a colder climate and full sun, but will tolerate light shade.


Height: 3-4’

Spread: 3-4’

This beautiful Spruce varies in blue-green color. A broad, pyramid-shaped evergreen. The dense foliage needs little shearing. Excellent as a specimen, hedge or windbreak. Likes fully exposed, well drained locations. Best in full sun.


Height: 60’

Spread: 10-20’

A prostrate Juniper that maintains an outstanding blue color all season. Best in sun or light shade. Compact growth habit that needs little shearing.


Height: 8-10”

Spread: 3-5’

A broadleaf evergreen selected by Sheridan Nursery. Slow growing, rounded plant well suited for a low hedge. Has good green color in winter.


Height: 2-3’

Spread: 2-3’

Very slow growing, conical, miniature Spruce. Bright green new growth changing to blue-green. Useful in small gardens or for miniature accent points. Best in full sun, but will tolerate partial shade. Needs some winter protection in zone 4 in exposed areas.


Height: 6-8’

Spread: 3-4’

Compact, rounded to mound shaped with beautiful blue foliage. Valuable as an accent or specimen plant. Very slow growth.

Pygmy Globe Arborvitae

A dwarf, globe-shaped, compact evergreen. Bright green foliage. Grows slowly and needs no shearing.

Emerald Green Arborvitae

Emerald green foliage. Compact upright form. Holds color well through winter.


Height: 10-15’

Dense Spreading Yew

Dark green foliage except during the spring flush when new growth is emerald green. High shade tolerance. Requires good soil drainage. Best of the fast growing clones.


Height: 3-4’

Spread: 5-7’

White Pine

Fast growing pine, native to a good part of the Eastern United States. Open to loosely pyramidal as a young tree and becoming gnarled and more irregular with age. Does not do well in open sites in zone 3. Full sun to partial shade.

Taylor Juniper

A great plant discovered near Taylor, NE in the late 1970’s by Allen Wilke. Distinctive upright, narrow form, tight growing. Foliage is a medium green with a hint of gray, darkening slightly in the winter. Tolerant of poor, dry sites and high pH soils.

Techny Arborvitae

Fast growing and dark green. Excellent for screens and tall sheared hedges. Good in sun or light shade. Very winter hardy.
