Greenhouse
vegetables taste better than a fresh picked vine ripened tomato.  The tomato is the focus of many
neighborhood contests.  The weather needs to be warm for tomatoes to thrive.  “Tomato Maker”
should be added to the soil at planting. This will insure a healthy plant and eliminate blossom end
rot on the first fruits.  Feed again when the fruit begins to set on.  Most plants should be staked or
given support to keep the fruit off of the ground.  Plant tomatoes in a different spot in the garden
each year to prevent soil-borne diseases from becoming a problem.

Better Boy is our most popular all-around tomato.  It has excellent disease resistance, is very
productive with 8oz flavorful fruit.

Celebrity is one of the most disease resistant plants available with large glossy tomatoes.

Beefmaster is our largest Beefstake type tomato, meaty and few seeds.

Early Girl as its name implies is the earliest slicing tomato that will produce 4-6oz fruit all season
long.

Heartland is a dwarf compact plant that rarely needs staking.  It is disease resistant with good-
sized 6-8oz fruit.

Heirloom tomatoes are older varieties that have not been hybridized for disease resistance and to
many people have that old-fashioned real tomato taste.

Mortgage Lifter is a very productive, low-acid pink tomato with great flavor and few seeds.  Fruit
may reach 3lbs.

Brandywine is a boat-shaped beefstake type tomato loaded with flavor.

Cherokee Purple produces dusky pink skin with purple flesh inside.
