Allium – Millenium
This easy to grow perennial is perfect for the hot, full sun garden, blooming in July and August with bright, cheerful rosy purple 2″ round flowers atop a mound of neat, tidy, bright green strappy foliage that, when crushed, has the fragrance of onions. Butterflies and honeybees love the sweet nectar, while deer hate that onion scent. Some designers are using this plant in gardens to keep the deer away from the rest of the plants in the garden. Loves hot dry conditions.
